We found the Irish to be likeable and extremely friendly people. It is said that if you use terms like “Begorra” or otherwise ridicule them your reception is not going to be as welcoming. They take pride in who they are.

The schedule shows ten trains per day at this stage so it may yet be some time before the new trains are able to make a dent in the number of flights.

1620 yuan is not that much more than 1388, although its good to know as I am in favor of greener travel and this would support that as opposed to flying.

My wife and I booked to fly to another city because we wanted to attend a convention and could not make the dates for the one in our home town.

In twenty years the convention date had never been changed after having been announced. So we booked in a non-refundable ticket class.

Guess what happened? They changed the date of our home town convention so it is on the same dates as we have booked for away!

Now we have little choice to go anyway as we have paid and cannot get a refund or move the booking to another date! We are not bitter about it, but it does confirm the correctness of your article.

You say that having laundry done as you travel can be expensive. The way around that is to donate your cloth to any Thrift Shop. They wash or dry-clean any item and you buy them back for a few dollar in two days time.

Thanks for your comment. I am guessing that the flights were with different airlines? If the segments were with the same airline as a "through-ticket" and they accepted the booking without warning you then you could probably still persuade them to give you a refund. I really had a bad experience for my europe trip. Although it was not our fault partly however it was a disaster trip. i had 3 transit and the flights were booked with 1 hr differences..and while i was flying in my second transit flight, half way flying the captain announced that one of the engine was faulty..and we need to fly back to the airport that we departed,,the effect of this we missed our third flight and they refuse to compensate. Thought of claiming from insurance, we failed. Overall a holiday trip can be a disaster if we didnt plan well… Plan for any extreme
